MEET AMY B.
Educational & Athletic Consultant
Having gained her own education by way of two high schools, two colleges, and the international stage of championship figure skating, Amy Webster Berg brings more than two decades of experience as a sports agent, coach and parent to Hall Educational Resources.
Amy has trained figure skaters who won medals at the U.S. Nationals and hockey players who are competing in the USHL, the BCHL, Division 1 universities, and various prep schools. Through one-on-one engagement, Amy has groomed dozens of young men and women to discover and develop their own personal path while fine tuning their skating. Her passion for advising, guiding, and building confidence in her athletes also meant being a recommender for nearly 500 prep and college applications!
In addition to her work with elite athletes, Amy has served on the Board of Directors of U.S. Figure Skating - the sport’s governing body - for eight years, and served as a corporator at the Dana Hall School for six. She has spent considerable time volunteering in admissions at both the Belmont Hill School and the Roxbury Latin School.
A native of Yarmouth, Maine, Amy left home after 8th grade to move to Boston so she could train full time as a competitive figure skater. Her dedication to skating led her to compete on the global stage, culminating with a World bronze medal at the professional level.
After attending Wellesley High School, Amy graduated from the Dana Hall School. She then attended Bowdoin College where she played on the women's varsity ice hockey team, before transferring to Wellesley College to return to her passion and pursue her dream of being an Olympic ice dancer. Amy was a five-time U.S. National medalist and an alternate to the 1994 Winter Olympic Games in Lillehammer.
Amy enjoys spending time with her family, including two sons who have provided plenty of hands-on experience with independent day schools, varsity sports, and as an Ivy League student-athlete. She has recently completed the IECA Summer Training Institute, and is excited to be a member of the Independent Educational Consultant Association. She loves visiting her home state of Maine with her extended family, and photographing the scenery and the next generation.
