For more than twenty-five years, Elizabeth Hall has been active in the secondary school world, beginning as an alumni volunteer for The Northfield Mount Hermon School. Elizabeth served on Northfield Mount Hermon’s Board of Trustees, including their Enrollment Committee, and the Head of School Search Committee. Elizabeth was also an active parent volunteer at the private schools that her daughter attended. In addition, Elizabeth volunteered for two years in the Admissions Office at The Carroll School, gaining invaluable private school admissions experience, as she transitioned her career and launched Hall Educational Resources in 2010.
Hall Educational Resources is located in the Greater-Boston area (Amesbury, Massachusetts and Exeter, New Hampshire) and serves families across the United States and abroad. Elizabeth frequently travels nationwide and internationally to visit schools and programs, offering a broad perspective for her clients. In addition, through her involvement and affiliation with the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), National Association for Therapeutic Schools and Programs (NATSAP), The Small Boarding School Association (SBSA) and the Enrollment Management Association (EMA), she has access to a worldwide network of colleagues and other professional educational consultants.
Elizabeth holds an Ed.M. from Boston University’s School of Education, a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Gettysburg College and is a graduate of The Northfield Mount Hermon School. Elizabeth is a Professional Member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) and is a past Chair of the IECA Schools Committee. She holds membership in the National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs, the International Dyslexia Association, the Small Boarding School Association, the Council for Learning Disabilities and the Enrollment Management Association. Elizabeth is also certified in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and a Certified Coach Practitioner. Previously she served on the Board of Directors for the Wellesley Metropolitan Council for Educational Opportunity (METCO).
Jennie Kent, M. Ed., has been advising students on school and university choice since 2012. As an ex-pat and mother of four third culture kids, Jennie has a unique perspective which helps her better serve students from around the globe. An award-winning author of books for children and teens with over 850,000 copies of her books in print, Jennie has a strong background in writing and enjoys helping students find their individual voice in the essay writing process.
Jennie is a proud graduate of Northfield Mount Hermon School, received her B.A. from Skidmore College and has a Masters in Education from Framingham State as well as a certificate in independent educational consulting from UC Irvine. She is also one of less than 250 educational consultants worldwide who have earned the designation of Certified Educational Planner. An active member of her associations, Jennie is a professional member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association and has served on the Outreach, Global, and Nominating Committees. She is also a member of the National Association of College Admission Counseling, the International Association of College Admission Counseling, and the Higher Education Consultants Association as well as being a member of the Small Boarding Schools Association and the Enrollment Management Association. Because she counts with a broad network of colleagues and professionals, the answer to your questions are never far away.
Believing that professional development is the difference between good and great, Jennie attends professional conferences annually. She has visited over 450 schools and universities around the world, trying to get a feel for the culture of each one and expand her knowledge in order to better help students. Convinced that transparency is critical in the admission space, Jennie compiles important admission and financial aid resources annually for families and colleagues and has presented about them both domestically and internationally. Wanting to help raise others to their full potential, Jennie also founded the Independent Educational Consultants Association’s Student and Associate Virtual Roundtable, a networking and learning space for newer members.
In her downtime, Jennie enjoys reading, watching films, entering data in Excel spreadsheets, and playing with her Abyssinian cat, Gaspar.
Amy joined Hall Educational Resources in 2015. She serves as the Office Manager, ensuring the daily operations of Hall Educational run smoothly. Since joining the firm, she has expanded her role to include responsibility of the financial portion of the business including both invoicing and reporting, as well as strategic operational needs. She is also responsible for creating high quality deliverables for our clients. There are also times when you will find Amy on the frontlines responding to current or prospective clients or running the SSAT Flex Testing portion of the business. Amy finds that she is regularly drawing on her entrepreneurial skills as well as her background in education to enhance the offerings of Hall Educational Resources.
Amy holds a Masters of Secondary Education from the University of New Hampshire as well as a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education. She was in the classroom teaching high school math prior to stepping out to raise her family. Hall Educational Resources has been the perfect balance for her in terms of incorporating a professional life while raising her young family.
When Amy is not working you can find her spending time with her family and friends. She loves to travel, hike, ski and be outdoors.
Jenny joined Hall Educational Resources in 2018 as a Student Research Assistant. Her role at Hall Educational is invaluable, as she is on the front line of our outreach as she keeps our firm’s database current and updated. She can often be found on the phone speaking with Independent Schools and Therapeutic Programs, ensuring we have the most accurate information as we work to find the best placements for our clients. Jenny is a sophomore at the University of Connecticut, where she studies Biomedical Engineering with a concentration in Biomechanics. She enjoys playing soccer, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
